Are .Edu and .Gov Backlinks Higher For search engine marketing on Google? – search engine marketing Conspiracy QA #Shorts

Since I started doing SEO in 2004, .Edu and .Gov domain extensions always were targeted by SEO. Supposedly, they are better valued by Google.
IMO the Domain Extension is not related to the potential power of the website. Since the websites that use a .Gov and .Edu are most likely to receive quality backlinks, I guess the magic of SEO myths did the rest. In fact, the website is the key to analyze the potential strength of the backlink. The TLD is not relevant.
