Hi, I’m Geoff from Leapfrog Internet Marketing. This is an answer to the question, “Do customer reviews help our Google rankings?” The short answer is yes, but not how you might imagine. So if you do a search on Google for that, this is a localized search, it throws out people, in this case, in the Fleet area. Having more reviews doesn’t put you to the top, necessarily, or if you have more of a higher ranking than somebody else.
So this has three reviews, this has six, yet why isn’t this at the top? So, directly more of you with high star ratings don’t get you to the top of the Google. However, if you look at a review, more people…their eye will be drawn to this star rating and will click on it. And Google wants to serve our people that are clicked on more, because they deem that they’re more popular and therefore, it will push them up. So if you have more reviews with stars, it’s more likely to draw people’s eye than a competitor business with no stars and that should move you up. So the short answer is yes, customer reviews do help your Google rankings but indirectly not directly. If you’ve got any questions let me know. Thank you. Bye.
