The Open Directory Project is a web directory of Internet resources. It is a web directory is something akin to a huge reference library.
The ODP is maintained by community editors who evaluate sites for inclusion in the directory. They are experts, and all submissions are subject to editor evaluation. The goal of the ODP is to make the directory as useful as possible for their users, but along with that comes credibility for your website, dispersion of your information to a host of other partner directories such as Google, Netscape, AOL, Yahoo, and hundreds of other sites, an of course, improved search engine optimisation.
Submitting can take less than 20 minutes, and a simple four step process is available.
