Squarespace SEO is a hot topic – everyone wants to show up in search! But, how do you do it? What’s the best way to show up in search? There are over 200 ranking factors that go into SEO… and I’m not going to cover them all today, but there are a few that you need to think about.

First, make sure your Squarespace SSL certificate is active. Google shows preference to websites that have SSL activated.
Second, make sure you connect your site to Google Search Console, and submit a sitemap to the console so that Google can index your website.
Third, make sure your permalinks, or URL slugs, are clean. You want to be sure you don’t have a bunch of unnecessary words in the slug.
Fourth, compress your images so that your site speed remains fast. A slow website can affect your ranking.
Lastly, make sure you are optimizing your page titles, not just your blog post titles!
