In this video, I would like to share the list of opportunities for your website to rank on the 1st page of Google search engine for a generic keyword.
The first factor is
Domain Age:
Google gives more value for aged / old domains.
Keyword Research:
For example, you have already selected a generic keyword to make your website rank for it. Then understand one thing that people search intent for that keyword. For example, if your keyword is “Digital Marketing”
Enter the keyword on Google and see the most engaging content, most of the people are interested to read about “What is Digital Marketing” & “Learn Digital Marketing” then develop the main page in the scenario. But if your web page is about selling Digital Marketing services and you still want to rank for “Digital Marketing”, then create sub-pages or blogs on “What is Digital Marketing” & “Learn Digital Marketing” etc and link it to the main page.
Long Content:
Write more than 2000 words content for a page or for an article. Please don’t think that people will not be interested to read longer articles, short content means you are unable to provide or present the content in an interesting manner, Google always prefers the content weight pages.
Create Sister Sites:
If your main website got affected with Google updates, the sister sites will save your business, so always be prepared with plan B

Content Formation:
Make sure
The readability should be good
Use font styles and colors
Use short paragraphs

If there are a number of broken links on a website, search engines will treat that website an outdated site and this can harm the rankings of the internal pages as well.
Page load speed:
Test the website load time using online tools and improve speed by compressing codes, images also you can use CDN but make sure do not use for PDFs and info-graphic images.
Enable comments:
Enabling comments feature on the website will create user engagement on the page and bring new content.
Dwell time:
The amount of time visitors spends on your website will improve the SEO ranking, make sure the visitors stay a long time on your website by proving user-friendly navigation and interesting stuff so that they will switch to internal pages and keep browsing your website.
Check Out the Competition:
Analyze the backlinks of your competitors and try to build from their backlink sources
Contact us Page:
Having sufficient contact information on the website considered as more trustworthy and get priority in the ranking.
Mobile optimization:
Make sure the site should be responsive and load fast.
Outbound links:
If your website is new give 1 or 2 backlinks to the trusted sources means popular websites, so that your website will come in their website backlinks list and Google will notice your website.
Inbound Links/Backlinks:
Build Do Follow & Indexed backlinks from the high Domain Authority DA and high Domain Authority PA sites
Buy Traffic:
Buy traffic from only the reliable sources, if you don’t do wisely your site will get de-listed from Google.
Social Signals:
The number of Google+ shares, Facebook shares, Tweets, Pinterest pins, and other social media mentions can boost SEO rank.
