I stared at my monitor and noticed something unusual.

A list of ten competitors all promoting a product they didn’t own.

To the left, there was a small amount of text that mentioned a top prize of $10,000.

The clock was ticking, only a few days left on this new competition I stumbled upon.

A man named Paul James was in the lead.

I knew this guy.

Alright, let’s rewind for a second.

Here’s the truth…

I got really tired of doing the same thing.

The routine that I had always known was, get a few clients, do some SEO classes, make about $10k – $20k per month and repeat.

I had helped build up hundreds if not thousands of businesses but I never really focused on building my own.

I thought to myself, “the one thing I’ve never tried is affiliate marketing, maybe that could work.”

However, I had seen a few things wrong with going the affiliate route.

1. Amazon’s affiliate network recently dropped their commission plan from 10% to 3%.
2. Local affiliate SEO worked well but $3,000 wasn’t really worth my time anymore.

So, I did what I always do when I want to figure out how to become successful at something.

I asked a ton of questions.

I remembered that I was introduced to a guy named Nick Ponte by a Youtuber named Paul James a little over six months ago.

I knew Nick had done affiliate stuff in the past so I reached out to him.

He told me about a new product he was creating and promoting on Warrior +, a forum for affiliate marketers.

He invited me to his competition.
