Well today I’m going to show you 3 simple steps to SEO’ing your WordPress website that almost no one is doing.
Disclaimer: If you’re in a niche industry or in a local marketing, the techniques you’ll learn today will have huge results very quickly. If you’re in a more competitive industry, it will probably take more work.
There is a lot involved in a comprehensive SEO program but there are really 3 major steps that you can do on your own to jump start your SEO and get your site super ranked super fast. Now the steps are basically the same no matter where your website is hosted but I’ll be showing you how to do it using a wordpress site.

Ok, here are the 3 steps: first, optimize your pages. Then create an XML site map, then submit that sitemap to google. Let’s jump on my computer to take a look at how we do all this.

I’ve already selected the keywords so I know what I’m optimizing for. Im going to take the first 5 pages of my website, go into the editor and make sure I’m optimized for that keyword.
Go through Yoast.
Create hyperlinks to other content!!
3:22 Ok, now that we’ve got 5 pages optimized, what we’re going to do is create an XML sitemap
An XML sitemap is a file that helps Google understand your website more productively. Lets shoot back to my screen for a walk through on how to do that.
I use this tool…yoast seo plugin to save it on desktop

4:30 Now once we’ve created that sitemap, we’re going to upload it into your Google Webmaster Account. This will immediately activate the search engine bots called Spiders to crawl your site and establish that credibility. Give a little bit of time and check Google again to see where you’re ranking. You can also go to SERPS.com and find out where your page is ranking for those keywords.
